Say Hello to Kat Hozik, D&A’s New Business Development Associate

Devaney & Associates is continuing to make exciting moves in 2024 with a new addition to our team, Kat Hozik. Kat comes to D&A as our business development associate to support the overall growth of our agency by bringing on new clients and projects while strengthening current client relationships.

Kat is a graduate of Frostburg State University where she studied communications and design with a minor in art history. After college, she moved to Baltimore City to pursue career opportunities with goal of landing a job at an advertising agency. As a small-town girl navigating city life, Kat’s professional experience matured in Baltimore, as she held positions as a graphic specialist at a full-service print production company and as a member of a full-service agency’s creative department.

With the knowledge and skills she gained from these roles, Kat went on to pursue her passion for event planning as a graphic designer and media specialist at an event production company. During her 15 years there, Kat wore many hats—including senior graphic designer, media buying and strategic planner, creative director, logistics and timeline manager, senior event manager…then she finally hit the ground running with sponsorship and event sales where she exceeded goals and increased profits each year. Due to unexpected circumstances with the company during the pandemic, Kat pivoted to wedding and event sales for a catering company, but she knew she wanted to get back to her roots in the ad agency realm.

Now, as the D&A business development associate, Kat can put all of her professional experience and talents to work each day as she helps our agency continue to expand and evolve.

When she’s not at the D&A headquarters or traveling near and far to meet prospective or current clients, you can find Kat listening to country music, sitting around a firepit spending quality time with her family, enjoying a dirty martini with blue cheese olives, or helping anywhere she can—either in the office or the community!
