Devaney & Associates was honored with two Gold awards in the 17th annual Davey Awards, an international advertising competition focused exclusively on honoring the best small agencies across the world. The competition received over 2,000 entries and only 10% of those entries were awarded Gold.
GOLD: Design & Print Collateral – Brochure
As Maryland’s largest federally qualified health center, Baltimore Medical System (BMS) relies heavily on fundraisers to deliver healthcare to the community’s most vulnerable members. However, the pandemic saw many of these fundraisers cancelled.
Devaney & Associates proposed a new a solution: the Heartstrings Fund, a year-round community philanthropy program. The Heartstrings Fund brochure, which helped soft-launch the program, reframed BMS as more than “just a clinic.” It established BMS as a donor-worthy cause driven by a unique and powerful mission: healthcare with dignity.
GOLD: Design & Print Collateral – annual report
When Carroll Hospital began planning for their 2020 annual report, they wanted it to serve as a respite from all of the negative news and hardships brought on by COVID-19.
Inspired by the hospital’s mission to Care Bravely and color outside the lines of traditional healthcare, we developed “Making a Masterpiece,” a themed report that featured a selection of “artists”—donors, volunteers, doctors, and staff—who made the hospital’s year of historic care possible. The report even featured custom-designed coloring pages, encouraging recipients to open up their crayon boxes and create a masterpiece of their own.
