Devaney & Associates was honored with two Awards of Excellence and one Best in Maryland award at the Public Relations Society of America Maryland’s 60th anniversary gala and award ceremony held virtually on December 9, 2021. The award ceremony recognized excellence in communications with 32 award recipients in 16 categories.
Award of Excellence in Brochures: The Heartstrings Fund Brochure
Our agency won an Award of Excellence in Brochures for the Heartstrings Fund Brochure created for Baltimore Medical System (BMS). The publication introduced the Heartstrings Fund, BMS’s first year-round community philanthropy program and was used as an onboarding tool for executive leadership and a small group of corporate donors.
The brochure’s gorgeous photography and inspiring messaging reframed BMS as “more than just a clinic” and established BMS as a donor-worthy cause driven by their powerful mission: healthcare with dignity.
AWARD OF EXCELLENCE FOR CARROLL HOSPITAL’S 2020 ANNUAL REPORT ENTITLED “MAKING A MASTERPIECE”
D&A also won an Award of Excellence for Carroll Hospital’s 2020 Annual Report entitled “Making a Masterpiece.” The dynamic document was created in response to the challenges and negative news surrounding COVID-19. The Carroll Hospital Foundation teamed up with Devaney & Associates to design a report that celebrates the donors, volunteers, associates, and frontline workers whose contributions made the hospital’s year of historic care possible. D&A designed the report with bright colors, vivid photography, colorful interviews and a modern design. The report also featured custom coloring pages encouraging recipients to create a masterpiece of their own.
Best in Maryland Award: U=U Maryland Testimonial Video for Chase Brexton Health Care and the Baltimore City Health Department
Finally, our agency won the Best in Maryland award for our work on the U=U Maryland Testimonial Video for Chase Brexton Health Care and the Baltimore City Health Department. Research shows that people living with HIV who follow their treatment plans and maintain undetectable viral loads cannot transmit HIV to their partners—Undetectable=Untransmittable, or U=U. Our video featured interviews from HIV specialists as well as brave Marylanders who were unafraid to speak transparently about their HIV diagnosis and taking control of their sexual health. We are so proud to have helped Chase Brexton Health Care and the Baltimore City Health Department share this medical breakthrough.
